Energy Made Easy is a free, Australian Government service, operated by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and not paid by any energy companies, so it’s accurate and independent.

Energy Made Easy is a free Australian Government energy price comparison service for households and small businesses in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, that can be used to find and compare home and small business electricity and gas plans.

Only these states and territories are included as they have adopted the National Energy Customer Framework. Where they are yet to adopt this framework, state and territory governments remain responsible for regulating retail energy markets.

the Northern Territory – you can refer to the Power and Water website for retail electricity information

Western Australia – you can refer to the Economic Regulation Authority website for retail electricity and gas information.
